Sunoco Presidential Coin Set
1950 - 2000

Coming off of the success of their 1999 Millennium Coin Set, Sunoco followed it up with a Presidential Coin Set surveying the Presidents from the last half of the twentieth century. Issued in 2000 a Presidential election year this seems quite logical. But, wow what an election year. The powers that be at Sunoco could not have had better timing. What with the drama the 2000 election would bring – Gore vs Bush, hanging Chads and a Supreme Court case. Everyone was caught up in all things Presidential in the fall of 2000. Available at your local Sunoco gas retailer or from Sunoco by mail these 32mm (1.25 inch) "coins" commemorated the last ten Presidents of the twentieth century - Truman through Clinton. The reverses share a common design distinguishable from each other only by the coin's number added at the bottom of the design.
